Workshop Operative “A”

The above-mentioned vacancies exist at Ipelegeng in the Technical Department. The positions will report to the Workshop Foreman. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- NTC qualification
- A valid driver’s license and PrDP will be an added advantage
- Experience in maintenance of heavy vehicles
JOB OUTPUTS
- Lubricate heavy duty vehicle components
- Inspect heavy duty vehicle mechanical components
- Check and correct fluid level of heavy duty vehicle components
- Remove and replace heavy duty vehicle components
- Conduct major services on related components of heavy duty vehicles
- Do minor repairs on heavy duty vehicles
- Diagnose faults on related heavy duty vehicle components
- Repair related heavy duty vehicle components
- Attend to breakdowns
- Do related workshop administration
- Adhering to workshop health and safety
- Attend operative training programmes
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Normal Ipelegeng Transport Trust working conditions
