Artisan Auto Electrician

The above-mentioned vacancies exist at Ipelegeng in the Technical Department. The positions will report to the Workshop Foreman. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 or equivalent academic qualification
- Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician
- A valid driver’s license and PrDP will be an added advantage
- Experience in fault finding and maintenance of an electronically controlled vehicle management system and heavy, diesel vehicles.
JOB OUTPUTS
- Carry our maintenance on Electronically Controlled Vehicle Management systems.
- Carry out electrical repairs including systems and components
- Carry out diagnostic tests to determine faults on Electronically Controlled Vehicle Management
- Test vehicle electrical system.
- Handle all related workshop administration.
- Adhere to workshop health and safety procedure.

- Normal Ipelegeng Transport Trust working conditions
COMPETENCIES
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of the bus passenger transport industry.
- Good knowledge of auto electrical components on buses
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

- Diagnose, locate and repair electrical faults
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment
- Diagnose; locate and repair electrical faults.
- Ability to use tolls correctly
