FUEL ATTENDANT

The above-mentioned vacancies exist at Ipelegeng in the Technical Department. The positions will report to the Workshop Foreman. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12/Matric or equivalent academic qualifications.
  • Experience or exposure to mechanic would an added advantage.
  • Valid EC Driver’s licence would be an added advantage.

JOB OUTPUTS

  • Refuel bus fleet
  • Verify oil condition, levels and top up if necessary
  • Verify coolant condition, levels and top up if necessary.
  • Report defects
  • Receive bulk fuel deliveries.
  • Record fuel and lubricant issues to each vehicle
  • Must be able to record pump readings correctly
  • Activate fuel pumps at start of each shift.
  • Deactivate fuel pumps at end of each shift.
  • Maintain good housekeeping at the fuel bay

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of the bus passenger industry.
  • Working knowledge of the occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Knowledge of the workshop procedures.
