STAFF VACANCY NOTICE

SHUNTER DRIVER

The above-mentioned vacancies exist at Ipelegeng in the Technical Department based at Roods Garden Depot. The positions will report to the Workshop Foreman. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS                        

• Grade 12/Matric or equivalent academic qualifications
• Valid EC 10.4 or EC driver’s license with PrDP.
• 3 years’ heavy duty driving experience.

JOB OUTPUTS

• Move buses on company premises and between sections for maintenance.
• Take buses for roadworthy certificate.
• Road test buses as and when required.
• Park/shunter in stipulated areas.
• Breakdown replacement
• Extensive knowledge of the road safety regulations.
• Adhere to company’s health and safety procedures.

KNOWLEDGE

• Knowledge of the bus passenger industry.
• Working knowledge of the occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Knowledge of the workshop procedures.
• Knowledge of company disciplinary procedure
