SUPERVISOR TRAFFIC ADMIN

The above-mentioned vacancy exists within Ipelegeng Transport Trust, Operations Department, and will be reporting to the Traffic Manger. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Grade 12 (Std. 10) or equivalent academic qualification.
  • Diploma or certificate in Transport Management will be an advantage.
  • Valid Code EC, EC1 0.4 or C drivers’ licences and PrDP.
  • 2 years previous working experience in a similar working environment in Operations.
  • Computer literacy

JOB OUTPUTS

  • Ensure that the service operates in accordance with the planned schedule.
  • Monitor passenger flow, build ups, poor patronage and unreasonable time waiting.
  • Interact with passengers.
  • Investigate complaints regarding the operation.
  • Keep abreast of developments and activities within the operational area.
  • Maintain subordinates discipline.
  • Keep records of disciplinary reports
  • Monitoring of subordinates e.g. Transport Officers, dispatchers and analyze their documents.
  • Daily analysis of route waybills/Wayfarer ticketing system
  • Data capturing of waybill on Computer
  • Print and distribution of  reports as required by Management
  • Compiling of reports regarding route waybill analysis for budget purpose
  • Fleet maintenance record keeping and analysis
  • Resolve customer queries on VIX reports
  • Monitor and control DC shortages on a daily basis.

 WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The job involves shift work on a six day work week and may require the incumbent to work during public holidays and on Sundays.
